NORMAN A. WULF

Norman A. Wulf is Acting Assistant Director for Nonproliferation and Regional Arms Control of the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA). The Bureau in which he serves deals with nuclear, missile and chemical non-proliferation, as well as conventional arms transfers. The Bureau focuses on export controls as a means of denying proliferants relevant technology and on regional arms control arrangements to address the insecurities that motivate countries that seek to proliferate.

Before assuming his present position, he served as Deputy General Counsel of ACDA. Prior to coming to ACDA, he served in the Department of State, at the National Science Foundation, and at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce. His military service was from 1966 to 1972 in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps.

He holds a B.A. degree from Iowa Wesleyan College, a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, and a LL.M. from the University of Miami.
