Savannah will host G8 member delegations not staying on Sea Island. During the Summit, delegates will stay in several hotels in the Historic District of Savannah. During the Summit, businesses are encouraged to remain open. Access to Hutchinson Island will be restricted to official Summit participants only for the duration of the Sea Island Summit. The Savannah River will be closed to private boat traffic during the Summit. Commercial traffic will continue as normal. Additional information regarding this closure has been posted by the U.S. Coast Guard and all questions should be directed to your nearest Coast Guard office.
