| Message from G8
Summit Planning Organization
It is a pleasure to announce that President George W. Bush has selected Sea Island, Georgia as the site of the 2004 G8 Summit. We, at the G8 Summit Planning Organization (SPO), are pleased to be working on behalf of the President to help ensure the success of the upcoming Sea Island Summit, June 8th-10th.
Through dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/g8usa, the G8 SPO will provide updates on the various aspects of the Sea Island Summit. Information will include security matters, press involvement, educational and environmental planning, technological and utility improvements that will remain in place after the Summit has concluded, and many other items about the Summit itself.
We have also created special features on dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/g8usa to acquaint you with the G8 and its purpose. These features will include profiles of each of the G8 leaders, Frequently Asked Questions (& Answers), and interviews with Sea Island residents and community leaders.
If you have any questions during the next eight months, please do not hesitate to communicate with us--all of our contact information will be listed dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/g8usa/contact.htm.
We look forward to working with the residents of the coastal Georgia communities during the next eight months in anticipation of a successful and memorable G8 Summit!
Sincerely,
Bob Goodwin
