G8 International Media Center -- Barry Bennett the G8 Summit Communications Director issued the following statement this afternoon.
"The G8 International Media Center in Savannah was closed briefly this afternoon when a volunteer was treated for possible viral meningitis. The volunteer has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. The closing of the building was a temporary precaution. The building soon reopened on the advice of the appropriate medical agencies. Further updates will be issued when information becomes available."
