Q.  Can you provide an update on the situation in the Cote
d’Ivoire?  Is the president alive?

A.  THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COTE D’IVOIRE ASSURES US THAT PRESIDENT
FELIX HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY IS ALIVE.  WE HAVE NO REASON TO BELIEVE
OTHERWISE.  THE COUNTRY IS CALM; THERE HAVE BEEN NO REPORTS OF
